NCDS Atomz Lab for Kids
These events are exclusively for our NCDS kids! Parents can drop off kids ages 5 - 12 years old on Friday and Saturday mornings. Kids must be registered for the NCDS Annual Session to attend. This is great for our House of Delegate members who need childcare . The $40 fee includes all activities, materials , a snack and drinks.
The safety and well-being of children participating in Atomz Lab is our number one priority. We are continuing to take measures to ensure that our instructors are equipped to keep our young scientists safe. Additionally, it is our commitment to provide a quality, educational and fun experience, which is what teaching science should always be. During our programs, everyone will need to wear face coverings at all times and will need to wash and sanitize hands before entering the program. All supplies will be sanitized before and after the program.

Blow it Up & Ooze the Matter:
In this interactive workshop, kids will make their experiments blow open, hit the ceiling, create snow and water jelly crystals all while learning about the awesome power of pressure, gas and absorption! They will also discover the SLIMY and GOOEY side of science by diving into non-Newtonian substances! Everyone will be elbow deep in ooze and loving every minute of it. Science has never been this much fun.

Magnetic Fun & Get Moving:
Everyone will investigate the forces behind magnets and how strong they can be. We will have a mini car race using two opposite poles of a magnet as well as going fishing with our heads and catching magnetic fish. They will also explore forces and motion through hands-on experimentation. Test Newton's Laws of Motion, experience centripetal force, acceleration, and much more! Physics is FUN with Atomz Lab!
