CE Credit Information

The NC Dental Society  is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

How many CE credit hours do I need?
For specific CE credit requirements, please refer to the ADA's list of Continuing Education Requirements for Dentists and Auxiliaries. Additionally, check the NC State Board of Dental Examiners website for North Carolina licensure requirements. Our Annual Session is designed to meet the annual NCSBDE requirements for Dentists and Auxiliaries in just 2.5 days.

How many credits is each CE course at Annual Session?
Each CE course at the Annual Session corresponds to its duration, with, for example, a 8:30 am - 11:30 am course earning attendees 3 credit hours. Only clinical courses are eligible for NCSBDE credit, and ineligible courses will be marked with an asterisk on the schedule. Virtual classes offered post-Annual Session carry the same credit value as in-person sessions.

How do I record my attendance at Annual Session to earn credit?
To earn credit, attendees must scan their badge upon entering the CE session. Failure to do so will result in no credit earned. Attendees are also required to complete the online course survey to ensure credit.

How and when will attendees receive Annual Session CE Verification Certificates?
CE Verification Certificates will be emailed after June 1, 2024, to the email address used during registration.

How can I correct an error on my CE transcript?
To correct any errors on your CE transcript, please contact NCDS staff at mkbeventsinc@gmail.com.
