Dr. Chris Salierno is a general dentist from Long Island, New York. He graduated from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 2005.  Dr. Salierno has served as the National President of the American Student Dental Association, Chair of the ADA New Dentist Committee, and as President of his local dental society. He lectures internationally on clinical dentistry, practice management, and leadership development. His material can be viewed on his blog, The Curious Dentist.  In 2017 he became a Chief Development Officer with the Cellerant Consulting Group.  He was the Chief Editor of Dental Economics from 2014 to 2021.  In 2021, he became the Chief Dental Officer at Tend.

Dr. Ricardo Padilla

Dr. Padilla was born in Guatemala, where he obtained his D.D.S. degree. He then completed a 3-year Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, FL; and subsequently moved to Texas for a one-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in ENT, Head and Neck Surgical Pathology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.He has been a full time faculty member at the UNC School of Dentistry since 2002, where he is currently the Kaneda Distinguished Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. He  has been the Program Director for the Advanced Dental Education in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology for 14 years.  His practice includes Clinical Oral Pathology and participation in the UNC Dental School’s Biopsy Service.  He teaches Dental, Medical, Physician Assistant, Dental Hygiene Students, and Dental and Medical Residents.  He serves in the UNC Faculty Council and in National Oral Pathology Organizations.  He also teaches graduate students at Duke, Vanderbilt, and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
He is a Diplomate of The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. He is also a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.  He has been a member of the ADA, The NC Dental Society, and Third District Dental Society since 2002.  He is also a member and past president of the UU Chapter of OKU and, member of ADEA, and many other professional associations. His research interests range between bone tissue engineering by means of scaffolds constructed with nanocomposites and biodegradable matrixes and adult mesenchymal stem cells; and also chemical surface modification of dental implants to influence osteoblastic differentiation.  Recently he has developed research interest in HPV and oral disease. He has mentored dozens of students in research projects, and has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as written several chapters in books.

Dr. Bruce Cassis

Dr. Cassis has practiced general dentistry in Fayette County for over 40 years. He is fully committed to providing the most cutting edge dentistry by constant participation in continuing education. Dr. Cassis is fully certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He has had advanced training in laser dentistry, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, oral sedation, occlusal diagnosis and treatment (TMJ), gum disease diagnosis and treatment, braces, and root canal therapy. Dr. Cassis serves his community by participating in free dental screenings to elementary students, and provides lectures and seminars to college students in health care professions through the rural health education consortium. During his free time, he enjoys outdoor sports activities with his 5 sons.  Orthodox Cathedral and is a member of the choir. Dianne Watterson, RDH

Dianne Glasscoe Watterson, RDH, MBA, GC-C has more than four decades in dentistry. Her business, Watterson Speaking/Consulting LLC, is based in Lexington, NC.   Since 1997, Dianne has been published extensively, including authoring two monthly columns in national dental publications- one in Dental Economics called “Practice Wisdom” and the other in RDH called “Staff Rx.”  Dianne is a well-known provider of continuing education for dental professionals and has presented for associations and major dental meetings across the US.  In addition to serving on the editorial board of RDH magazine, Dianne is a co-author of Foundations of Periodontics for the Dental Hygienist, a text used in many hygiene programs.  She has published three books:  Manage Your Practice Well; The Consummate Dental Hygienist; and Real World Dental Hygiene which won an Apex Award for publication excellence.  Dianne was honored by Dentsply™ as a “Distinguished Dental Professional” and by Colgate™ as a “Key Opinion Leader” and serves on their Oral Health Advisory Board.  Dianne has been chosen as a Leader in Consulting/Speaking by Dentistry Today every year since 2006.  Dianne was recently awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the NCDHA.  In addition to being a former faculty member in the dental hygiene program at Guilford Technical Community College, she is a member of Christian Medical/Dental Association, American Association of Dental Office Managers, American Academy of Dental Hygiene, and American Dental Hygienist Association. Dianne and her husband, Dave, are certified grief counselors and live in Lexington, NC.  They have 4 sons and 7 grandchildren.

Dr. Gabarée is currently the department head and instructor for both the dental assisting and dental hygiene programs at Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, North Carolina.  Prior to his current position, Dr. Gabarée, was a part-time instructor at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California, and maintained a full-time private dental practice for over 15 years.   As a Certified Leadership Instructor of Phi Theta Kappa's humanities-based leadership development curriculum, he also taught leadership development for over 8 years to a diverse segment of the Santa Maria community.
Dr. Gabarée holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, a Master of Education with a concentration in higher education administration from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University.
In May of 2015, at a time of life when most dentists his age would be planning their retirement years, Dr. Gabarée chose to pursue his Master of Education degree to further his ability to be a catalyst of thought and influence for our nation's next generation of dental healthcare providers and leaders.

Erika Spring is a clinical dental hygienist by heart and has served her profession in various roles over the last 30 years. Currently a full-time faculty member at Coastal Carolina Community College, as well as Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) trainer for EMS North America. Erika provides both didactic and hands-on training courses on behalf of SDA/EMS and Spring Innovative Coaching and Consulting. In 2020, she has further adapted and implemented the GBT curriculum to be the first dental hygiene program in the US to adopt this cutting edge technology. Leadership and innovation go hand in hand- her quest for quality patient care, practice performance and practitioner satisfaction stems from surrounding herself with leaders in the dental industry and establishing her WIN WIN WIN philosophy. Erika is an alumni of Coastal Carolina Community College, receiving her undergraduate degree and setting the stage for a passionate career in clinical dental hygiene. It was not long before Erika pursued higher education, receiving a Bachelors’ degree in Dental Hygiene and concluding with a Masters’ Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Professor Karen Baker has been on the Dental College faculty at the University of Iowa for over 40 years and occupies a unique role in dental practice and education. She is a clinical pharmacist with a Master’s degree in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics and is focused on patient-specific dental drug therapy.  She has given well over 1000 invited programs nationally and internationally and holds memberships in many dental and clinical pharmacology and therapeutics organizations. Her dental education-based pharmacy and drug therapy consultation center is the only one in the United States. She has authored many articles and abstracts and lectures extensively in pre-doctoral and graduate courses at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Ken Hargreaves received his D.D.S. from Georgetown University School of Dentistry and his Ph.D. in physiology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical and basic pain research at the National Institute of Health and his residency in endodontics from the University of Minnesota.
He joined the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, as Professor and Chair of the Department of Endodontics in 1997, and is jointly appointed as a professor in the Departments of Pharmacology and Physiology and Surgery (Medical School).
His area of research focuses on the pharmacology of pain and inflammation and currently he serves as a private investigator or co-private investigator on $30 million in NIH research grants. He has received an NIH MERIT Award and the 2013 UT Health San Antonio Presidential Distinguished Senior Research Scholar Award.
He has published 160 papers, two textbooks, and has five patents issued/pending. Among these papers are the description and validation of the “Hargreaves method,” which is broadly recognized as a standard method for evaluating new analgesic drugs, and is in the top 5 percent of all papers cited in the field of pain research.
